COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note - Hoppercar is a dry-hopped version of Conductor’s Craft Ale We used 5 different malts from Germany, France, Britain and Canada to give Conductor’s a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a combination of 5 different hops from Germany, the Czech Republic and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. To finish the beer we designed and built in-house a ‘hopback’ mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. We use whole leaf hops of Cascade and spicy German Tetnanger in the hopback to provide a unique and intense hop aroma that is familiar but uniquely presented.

pootzboy (1711) - Hopville, Ontario, - NOV 10, 2012
On tap @ Milos Beer Emporium: pours a burnished gold color, with a small white cap that does not last long. Aroma is lightly fruity with citus and sweetness. Flavor follows aroma - lightly sweet, lightly hoppy, clean fast finish - inoccuous bordering on bland. Nothing really stands out here. An entry level craft ale at best.

Pours golden brown, hue of hot cider, moderate head. Malty and boozy aroma - caramel, plum, wood. Taste is caramel, toast, moderate herbal hop. Profile is similar to a Canadian ESB. Not really remarkable in any way, good or bad.

Draft. Clear body, even beige head. The aroma is balanced and hoppy. The taste is dry and bitter with a good grapefruit finish.

lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 29, 2016
330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber orange colour with a small white head. Aroma of crackers, white bread, mild sweetness and herbal notes. Flavour of crisp grassy hops, white bread, some acrid notes and weird herbal notes. Light bodied. A bit harsh mouthfeel. Decent.

473 ml can.
Pours clear orange color with a large head. Aroma is nutty, bready, mild orange and some hops. Flavor is malty and a bit bready, some bitterness, some caramel. Okay but feels a bit old.

I suppose if you were trying to introduce someone to craft beer from a life of bud, maybe this would be interesting and different. Otherwise, its hard to pick out a dominant or distinct flavour. Just malty liquid. No distinguishable hops, in flavour or aroma.

jksipa (911) - Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2016
Can from RCSS. Hazy medium copper with a lingering one finger off white head. Nose is light caramel with grassy and floral hop notes. Light sweet base for a moderate hop bitterness. Mouth is medium and creamy with a lingering light bitter finish and average carbonation. More of an English Pale Ale, but decent. 7/3+/7/3+/14+

At the Ajax Beerfest. Pours amber with a small beige head. Has a carmel malt with hops and citrus aroma. Taste is carmel malt, nuts and a bit of citrus bitter. Very enjoyable.

biirusaikou (2705) - - JAN 12, 2016
Draught at BareBurger. More malt-forward with some light orange hoppiness, fairly thin with a short finish. Paired with an outstanding wild boar burger, this one didn’t stand a chance and failed to shine.

The floral hops bouquet foreshadows the warm, well-balanced, rich taste that teases the senses and satisfies the soul. Good stuff. Mighty good stuff.

(can) bright, clear amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of fruit compote, then roast; balanced, simple flavour with a long, light bitter finish
