3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the brewery. Caramel-copper colour with a good sized white head. Aroma of toasted grain and caramel, a bit of dried leaf, grassy hops. Flavour follows - relatively simple and balanced, very pleasant flavours, quite sessionable. Medium bodied with not a lot of lasting power, but that’s OK - even if it doesn’t stick around, this is a well-made session beer.
500 ml bottle from brewery. Pours a clear orangey gold with small white cap. Aroma is caramel, grains and earthy/herbal hops. Flavour is grainy, caramel malt and earthy/herbal bitterness with a some mineral character. Modest bitterness in finish. Good, not great. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle [500ml]. Pours a deep golden-orange with a small diminishing bubbly white head. Aroma of grain, caramel malt, light hops, a mild vegetal note and some fruit. Only slightly watery flavour follows the aroma with grain, caramel malt, light hops and an average bitter finish. Average bodied. Not as hoppy as I like my Pale Ales but its easy to drink and enjoyable.
