Listigovers (1343) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2016
Pours black with tan head, smells subtly fruity and roasted. Has a bit of an ashy bitter taste, I like it, fair punch for 4. Light bodied so the roast is a bit watery.

On tap at brewer’s backyard. Good dark malting. More or less drinkable. More of a black ale.

shaynsawchuk (713) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2015
500 mL bottle. Pours walnut with a khaki head. Aromas of cocoa, woody pine, dark bread, roasted nuts and some pithy citrus. Balance is surprisingly bitter and dry. Light to moderate body with average carbonation. Lingering cocoa and resin on the tongue, quite sticky. Interesting American Brown Ale?

deepeary (405) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 29, 2015
500 ml bottle from brewery. Pours deep brown with copious off white head. Looks reddish when you hold it up to a bright light. Nos is chocolate milk, some anise, and candied sugar. Taste is crisp and light but flavourful, roasted malt, bitter chocolate and dark and sugary malts. Moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamyish. Good brown ale. I think the changed the recipe because my bottle says only 4.0% ABV and 50 IBUs.

pootzboy (1815) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 28, 2013
On tap @ Bent Elbow - dark copper brown with a lasting tan cap. Aroma is nice - cocoa, hazel nut, coffee, caramel, leafy hops and some earthiness. flavor has the big malts up front with cocoa-coffee-toffee tones riding just above earthy herbaceous hops - finishes soft and mellow. Nice brew with some porter and brown ale character.

3.7
Lubiere (14196) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 4, 2013
A reddish copper ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, surprising dark chocolate with caramel malt, light coffe notes, lightly resinous. In mouth, a nice chocomalt with grassy British hops, treacle, rich bodied, veering in porter territory.

Bottle [500ml]. Pours a deep amber-brown with an average size lasting frothy tan head. Lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, chocolate, light leafy hops and coffee. Nice flavour (7+) of toasted malt, a good amount of leafy hops, nuts, chocolate and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good, I quite enjoyed this.
