Tap at a Restaurant in Lille. Nose is Butter, sweetness, wheat. Palate is honey, wheat, malty backbone. Meh.

Perfect draft. C’est pas terrible et en plus je n’avais pas de Picon sous la main !

330ml can in Brussels as ’Jupiler’, 5.2%, grip indents on the can so you can hold it steady even if you’ve chugged 20 of them. Clear golden, lightly sparkling, foamy white head leaves streaky lacing. Aroma is seared buttered sweetcorn, grains and sugar syrup. Body is light with tingly carbonation but smooth. Not too fizzy in the mouth but quite harsh on the stomach. Taste is quite clean and crisp, sugary malts, some alcohol tang, crisp bite in the finish. Tastes a bit like an imperial lager despite the moderate abv. A pretty average pale lager. I was expecting something a little better from this ubiquitous Belgian beer.

Aroma: moutig, fris, beetje brood. Smaak is zo goed als hetzelfde. Klein bittertje in de afdronk en lekker verfrissend. Tevens mijn favoriete macro lager.

Satyroneto (378) - BRAZIL - MAR 4, 2017

One of the best-selling beer in Belgium. That’s a basic pils. Not verry good but refreshing. The beer is pale with a medium carbonation. Aroma is cereal, pils, water and taste what it smell.

Faint malty aroma. Clear copper colour. Slightly sweet front with bready flavours; faint bitter finish. Light body with mild carbonation. Quite meh.
