bdleedahl (461) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - APR 13, 2017
This beer is certainly overhopped given the style and its relatively thin body for the style. It could use more malt body and less bitterness without a doubt.

rouhlas (3620) - GREECE - FEB 24, 2017
From tap at the brewpub. ABV was 4.8% according to the blackboard. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, licorice. Light sweet and medium bitter taste. Light to medium almost oily body with soft carbonation.

Tap: black pour with large, tight tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roast grain and a bit of soy sauce. Flavor is chocolatey with toasted grain and a touch of coffee. Palate is creamy thick with a powdery sweetness and a mild grainy bitter. Smooth, nice flavor and easy to drink.

jackfrost9p (338) - California, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Dark black with about a half inch of head. Strong roasted malt aroma and flavor which gives it the characteristic dryness. Overall a very tasty beer.

Ungstrup (37859) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2010
Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as a light note of soy sauce, leading to a dry and roasted finish.

pauls_parade (340) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 12, 2010
Nitro tap at Jupiter. Dark black, quarter-inch cream-colored head, leaving tons of lacing as nitro taps typically do. Dark chocolate, roasted malt, fine leather in the nose. The palate is super smooth. The finish is long-lasting. The taste is mostly sweet with dark chocolate, a touch of espresso and finishing with a light and dry earthy bitterness. This is a wonderful and flavorful stout. Nicely balanced. Enjoyable.
