in Berkeley. Refreshing & tasty. Crisp, citrusy & smooth. A great summer beer
On tap at the Jupiter brewpub pouring up a deep clear gold with copper hues and thin bright white head. It has a light aroma of citrus, spicy hops and a hint of sugary hop infused malt sweetness that takes on a sort of sweet citrus cotton candy sensation. The taste has a fist full of crisp fresh hops. I get a load of spicy hops, bushes, shrubs, grassiness, grapefruit, a bit of floral and some piny resiny bitterness. It has a suitable level of hop flavor moving into robust hop bitterness for this light bodied beer. There’s also a thin layer of malty sweetness off in the background. This is a brew that is light, refreshing and loaded with tasty hops. Terrific APA taste. yespr (45443) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2009
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Solid hoppy fruity aroma, grapefruit. Bitter, solid grapefruity and sweet malt base. Light caramlish note. Good balance between hops and malt in this one. Smooth fruity and bitter finish.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light malt flavor. Medium body. Grapefruit and light malt lingers. Finishes a bit dry. tekhna (118) - California, USA - APR 5, 2009
This is a damn fine APA. Lots of grapefruit, good balance. My girlfriend ordered it, and I stole it from her.

Draft at the brewpub. Surprising depth for a pale ale. Slight fruit flavors with a perfect amount of hops that makes it pleasantly bitter with a slowly but surely dissipating hoppy aftertaste. Admittedly, there’s a score inflation because this is an APA. Had they called this their IPA, my overall impression would have probably been lower. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 2, 2013
On tap @ Jupiter. Golden pour with a soapy white head. Citrus peel, bread, and floral hops on the nose. Some hints of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and a touch of pine. Flavor has a nice bready malt base and sweetness. Plenty of citrus peel, floral hops, and grapefruit. Light pineapple and mango, too. rouhlas (3616) - GREECE - FEB 24, 2017
From tap at the brewpub. Clear golden color with white to off white head. Hoppy and malty aroma, citrusy fruity, grass, some pine, bread. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 6, 2017
Light bodied. Very nice hop aroma, a bit simple but fresh and fragrant. Floral, citrus. Taste is milder, as can be expected, and a light bitter, but still a touch mess interesting than hoped. Decent pale ale. (On tap at the restaurant) BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 5, 2011
On tap at the source. Pours with good clarity and a light orange hue. A large, fluffy egg-shell colored head sits atop. Aromas are floral, spicy, some tropical fruit hop aromas. Very nice floral aromatics with minimal grainy notes. Some light esters, but pretty clean overall. Flavors of tropical fruit and floral hops with minimal bitterness (a big late addition). Malt flavor comes across as a bit papery (which turns out to be a reoccuring theme in their beers on this visit). Dry and a bit grainy. Short duration, clean fermentation. Medium bubbles, light body, mostly dry. Odd papery flavor (hot side aeration or malt quality issue?) detracts.
