Cask @ The Urmston, Urmston, Greater Manchester. Practically black with a thin creamy off-white head. A light mild with a medium body and slips down the palate well. Has a very light roasted malt sweetness in both its aroma and taste.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
275ml bottle from Shropshire. Vintage 1989. Soft, creamy, sweet, chocolate flavoured. This is very drinkable, and very enjoyable. Pleasant soft bitter notes counterpoint the sweetness. Very satisfying. I could drink these old British bottled stouts till the cows come home.
