This new beer makes its dbut at this Wetherspoon real-ale festival and is a rich, dark brew, made with chocolate and a fine blend of malt and hops, to create a flavour which is definitely addictive. Golding Hops

Dark brew with chocolate aroma, although does feel overbearing in its taste when drunk.

Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in November 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Dark ruby in colour with a thin tan coloured head. Strong powdery drinking chocolate aroma, long in intensity. thin watery mouhfeel and poor lacing. Dark malts give a weak milk chocolate flavour which is very watery in texture. Some vinous fruit notes barely detectable in the weak malt base. There is a hint of a hop prickle present in the short aftertaste. Finish is sweet with black grapes present in the mouth, becoming drier with oak cask elements. An ok session mild but might be too sweet for some.

Dark brown with a good, persistent off-white head. Gorgeous milky chocolate on the nose. Somewhat ruined by a thin, vinegar body but a nice mellow sticky aftertaste.

This has a lovely chocolate aroma and deep chocol;ate taste, the thing is Im not so sure chocolate and beer go well together, especially towards the end of a night

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 24/25 Dec 2010. Classic chocolate novelty. Deep brown with a pale brown head. Lactic creamy aroma, buttery milk chocolate in-mouth, rather like the chocolates left by your bed in hotel rooms and the chocolate santas claus you buy for 30p in the supermarket. Finish of nice chocolate and berries on a smooth mouthfeel. Rated as a novelty.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Cordwainer Northampton. A black mild with a decent whitish head. Really good chocolate notes throughout this with hints of oranges also. A very tasty well brewed easy drinking mild which I really enjoyed.
