COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - November and December.
Originally "Plum Pudding", "Christmas" had been added by 2014.
A harmony of Styrian Goldings hops, combined with the flavour of ripe fruit, delivers a delicious taste of candied plum; and a blend of pale ale and crystal malt gives it an intense auburn colour.

Cask handpull at The Masons Arms Teddington on a very cold day in front of the fire with Welsh rock songs playing. As J.W. Lees Christmas Plum Pudding. A dark amber brown, translucent and still with a dense foamy white head. Aroma is very plummy, cherry, raspberry. Body is light, smooth, fairly watery. Taste is resinous, astringent bitterness from start to finish, plummy fruits, little gummy sweets. Very drinkable but a touch artificial tasting. Decent on the whole. A nice overall experience drinking this seasonal beer in this great old school pub. (6-4-6-3-13=3.2)

Sweet aroma - ripe stone fruits. The plum flavour is quite pronounced but well balanced with other characteristics of autumnal/winter ale. A nuttiness and a lingering bitter finish.

Cask in the auld brig in Irvine. Lots if lovely fruits and a mouthful of spice. Slightly bitter finish works well. Best festive beer so far.
