Dark brown pour with a beige head. Rich nose of raisins, chocolate, dark fruits and caramel. Chocolate, raisin and a little coffee flavour. Dry, smoky-bitter finish. Dfonorow (2318) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 31, 2011
Deep amber-red with a small off-white head. Aroma is rather sweet with notes of caramel, raisins, and burnt fruit. Flavor is very cloying but not horrible - toffee, brunt sugar with a bitter and doughy finish. Light to medium bodied. JohnRMurdoch (5142) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - SEP 18, 2011
500ml bottle as a present. Grassy malty aroma. Medium brown colour, not much head. Chocolate toffee malt flavour. Slightly sickly sweet aftertaste. Not my sort of beer. prawlie (1701) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 18, 2011
500 mL bottle into a pint glass at home. Very dark brown with red highlights at the edges. The head it a little foamy. The aroma is malty, a hint roasted with some chocolate, and some hops. Sweet, caramel and bit of bitterness in the aftertaste, pretty nice. Also has an alcohol kick to it. It is perhaps slightly too sweet though, but thats a bit over-critical. Quite more-ish. Aroma of molasses, brown sugar, raisin, mild spices, rum and dark fruit. Almost like a rum cake! Very slight cloudy brown/amber in color with a pleasing off white head. The raisin/sweet dates/dark fruit flavor really comes through upon drinking. Ends with a pleasant alcohol warming upon swallowing. Has an almost whiskey like finish ... without the burn. Fairly thick mouthfeel with moderate carbonation muted a bit by the viscosity. Would pair magnificently with a nice cheese platter.

Moonraker Zymatore series by B. United Imports. Keg conditioned with Bastogne yeast! Tart apples on the nose with caramel notes. Pours caramel amber with a thin head. Tart and funky with citrus notes and caramel malts finishes with a mildly tart citrus note. The finish is nice and dry. Very interesting. hivemind (933) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 18, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2011 On tap at Taproom (at least they claim it is on tap - I did not see them pour it) with Erica, Jen and Mark. Pur is deep dark violet with large, cinnamon-colored head. Sharp, fruity aroma. Taste is untart and very sweet. Prunes, berries, bubblegum. Not amazing but memorable. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 6, 2011
Bottle shared by beerandblues2 at the 5/7/11 DC Ratebeer gathering. Pours a hazy red color with a medium creamy tan head. Fades very quickly. Aroma of big toffee and cheesy notes. Quite a bit of oxidation. That taste is toasted malts, toffee and oxidation notes. Medium bodied. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 30, 2011

Bottle: Hazy, deep amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head with a good lace; sweet raisins and sweet dark malt in the nose, some liquorice in the background; sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; well hidden traces of hops in the nutty, caramelly, fruity and vinous finish. A very nourishing Ale........
