This all-malt British beer created by Marco Pierre White and JW Lees Brewery, is named after Marco’s family greyhound that his father rescued. He started his racing career as Fearless, but having broken several track records was renamed The Governor. He went on to win 28 out of the 32 races that he started in Northern England. Raise your glass to The Governor and in the words of Captain Smith of The Titanic ‘Be British’. Hops used: Goldings

Cask at Manchester Airport. Light amber colour with a small off-white head. Caramel and malty aroma. Taste is a bit sweet with caramel and herbal notes. Overall, ok but not remarkable.

A bit to mild, thin and anonymous for my likings. Apart from that nothing wrong with it :-D.
Clear golden color with a creamy white head. Mild aroma. Medium light body and a creamy soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a mild bitterness. Malty, wort-ish and herbal flavor.
[Handpull at The Lion and Antelope at Manchester Airport in Manchester, England]

Handpulled pint at The Lion and Antelope, Manchester Airport. Pump clip says Marco Pierre White, but I suppose its this one. Pours clear deep golden with a small creamy white head. Aroma of caramel, some toffee malts as well. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, with a nice dry weak herbal finish.

Full pint, hand pulled cask ale at Bridewell in Liverpool. Stable low beige head, dotted spots down the glass. Clear amber body. Malt-fruity smell. Caramel malty flavours balanced by leafy hops. A bit watered in the mouth. Decent partner to Fish & Chips (30.01.2015).

Flaske 0,5l. Påspandert og delt med flere under seanse på Tårnrommet 16 Apr 13. Gyldenbrun med en anelse rødt. Høyt skum som varer. Fyldig maltaroma. Smaken balansert. Mye malt. Først litt søt - deretter tørr. Blir litt for vassen.

Rather insipid and tasteless. I hope the chefs food is better than his ale. Generally having tried this on a couple of occasions it is very dissapointing. Get a craft brewer to brew it and you might get some flavour!!!

Beesbeer (450) - WALES - AUG 5, 2012
Not too inspiring. Bog standard bitter. Light and clean grassy hops coming through in delicious aroma and clean dry ending.

mike_77 (7274) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - MAY 31, 2012
Light brown colour. Aroma of wood and apple pips. Flavour is quite malty and has a dry woody finish.

undercurrent25 (2246) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2012
Pretty standard bitter, quite light with a slight bitter hop taste and some slight toffee on the palate

imdownthepub (15526) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2012
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with slight head. Eggy, farmy nose leading to a boiled veg, bland, bitter body with a sulphate element. Poor beer in bad form.
