Red brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet caramel and malts. Rather sweet.

Draught @ JW Sweetman, Dublin, shared with Niilstrong. Clear amber - red color, medium sized quite dense off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly hops, bitter. Decent body, medium carbonation. Ok beer.

Draught. Pours a dark amber red with a fading off white head, good pacing around the glass. Aroma of red fruits, toffee, soy sauce. Taste is of more red fruits, strawberry, cherries, toffee, pine, nuts. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Draft pour at the source. The beer is a clear red with a medium sized white head of foam. The aroma is toasty and caramelly. The taste lends more of a lightly sweet toffee. Medium body and medium carbonation.

On tap at JW Sweetman, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Nose and flavour are clean but pretty restrained, with cereal notes and bready caramel notes. Restrained and clean, but pretty boring. I don’t understand why this is rated so well. Pretty ordinary.

Gangstergafje (1230) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - APR 26, 2015
As the name suggests, the beer has a deep red color. The formation of foam is minimal. The smell is really strong. It is sour and sweet, fruity and hoppy. The taste is great. It has the hop aroma of an IPA, but milder. The citrusy hop aroma is really refreshing. Really nice beer.

Eines der besten Rotbiere die ich je getrunken habe. Intensiv im Geschmack, mit Noten von Fass, Karamell und Trockenfrüchten. Viel Kohlensäure für ein Red Ale, was aber hervorragend passt. Tolles Bier!

Very red, not much of a head on it. A bit of fizz. Slightly fruity taste. Not bad, but I preferred the porter.
