Hefe-Weizen (meaning ’wheat with yeast’), this Bavarian style Weiss (Wheat) is highly effervescent with a fluffy white head. Brewed using wheat, pale and munich malt, it is unfiltered, hence cloudy. Fruity and tart in the mouth, with hints of lemon, while the dominant aromas are of banana and clove.

Draught @ JW Sweetman, Dublin shared with Niilstrong. Slightly hazy yellow to light orange color, medium sized thick dense white to off-white head that lasts for quite a while and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is wheat mixed with butter. Taste wheat, butter, sweetness and sweetish banana-ish. Meh.

Gangstergafje (1184) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - JAN 21, 2017
The beer has a simple look, even for a weizener. The color of the beer is golden yellow and the beer is clear. I aspected a lot more cloudiness, that cloudiness that is typical for a weizener. The beer pours a normal amount of rough foam, that collapses quickly and leaves nearly nothing. The smell contains some citrus hop aromas and a malty typical weizen aroma. There are more ale like aromas than weizener like aromas. I know better. The taste is quite disappointing. It is a little to bitter. There is also somehow a savoury note. It ain’t bad, I like it. It is not a great beer, I aspected more.

WoW this one felt like one of the lovely German hefe weisse. If you like that style of beer. This one will do you good. Unclear yellow golden color with a big fine white head. Solid lacing down the sides of the glass. Wheat, yeast, clove and banana. Tad sweet as it should. Ok body and ok carbonation.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of wheat and bananas. The flavorflavor is sweet with notes of wheat, bananasas, and odd spices, leading to a dry finish. Fermented at the right temperature?
