COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Kőbányai Sör was one of the few beers available in Hungary 1945-1990. Its characteristic packaging of red and blue combination was always recognised by the consumer. Nowadays the beer has a stable quality and offers an economy value to the consumer. It is called as a daily reward of hard workers." ABV from 4.5% to 4.3%.

Solid, unpretentious, flavorful and a bit fuller-bodied PL that doesn't taste like the watery cheap stuff i expected. First Hungarian rating, has been a while indeed since i've been to this country (16.9 oz can, corner store, Budapest)

500ml can - thanks Suihkulokki (5:3:4:3:9=2.4)
Gold, large tight head. Sweet fruity estery floral perfumey aroma - definitely a bit macro-ish, but both clean and with some character. Lightish palate, pleasant carbonation, not watery or fizzy. Taste fairly similar to aroma, light and estery clean perfumey lager, pretty drinkable, and a nice light refresher for the sauna. Didn't want to sacrifice any to the sauna stones, all went down the gullet.
