Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Slightly hazy dark red to red-brown color with a medium sized dense creamy off-white head. Aroma is malts, lightly wood, nutty. Taste malts, dark sugar, lightly wood, nuts, caramel, bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Nice. nocheinbier (78) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2016
Had it on draught in the Kaapse brewery tap. A very strong, sweet tasting ale brewed in a whisky barrel. I doubt you need more than 1 or 2 because it’s quite a strong and heavy beer but an excellent result of a collaboration between Magic Rock and Kaapse. Hopefully they’ll do it again. fonefan (50669) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2016

[9/27/15] Draught sample at Borefts After Festival 2015 in Rotterdam. Murky amber. Aroma of caramel, yeast, leafy hops. Flavor has sweet malt, yeast, bitter leafy hops. Medium-bodied. 77ships (10770) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 30, 2015
Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ BAF 2015. Reddish amber, little tanned head. Nose is oddly sweet, very sweet oak, sugar, barrel, sweet red fruit with some hop buried under brown sugar. Taste is oddly very sweet, sticky brown sugar, wort, spirit, feels halfway fermented, blue cheese hops, overly sweet. Very malty, wort-like body. Hop profile is good this is overly sweet, feels almost wort-like. Apparently another Kaapse IPA fermented on spirit barrels, this one is better & more interesting than others but feels still half finished, overly sweet, bizarre but more enjoyable than some of the other stuff. mike_77 (7014) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - AUG 15, 2015
Cloudy brown colour. Floral aroma. Has dark malts and brown sugar. Some floral hop. Thick. A bit heavy and alcoholic. kermis (14478) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 9, 2015
On tap at Kimchi 2015. Pours cloudy brown with a cream head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, sweet malts, butterscotch, brown sugar and light overripe dark fruits. Flavour is light heavy sweet and over moderate bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation. More like a barley wine than any kind of ESB, and a decent barley wine at that. Tap at Delfts bierfestival. Murky reddish brown with big creamy off white head. Sweet nuts, caramel, quite fruity with red apple, fudge, milk chocolate. Above medium sweet with almost full body and creamy feel.
