UPDATED: JUN 25, 2014 Draught at Kaltenberg Sörözö, Budapest, on June 21, 2014.
As "Red".
Hazy brown color, lasting teal head with lacing. Sweet, grainy, malty, hints of toasty scent. Malty, light roasted, grainy taste. Grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel with perhaps a bit low CO2-level. Medium to medium high herbal bitterness with a dry finish.

I had this beer from tap in Kaltenberg (Budapest, HUN). I had good impressions for the first time, then a strange taste remained afterwards. The colour is beautiful, with a fruity taste (and too much caramel).

04/08 On tap at the brewpub. A bit more hazy than the other two, red colored with smaller head. Aroma of some grainy and caramel notes, like their dark, only with a hint of hops which are more pronounced in its flavor, making in more similar to pale one on palate. Medium bodied with moderate, slightly herbal hop finish. This is something very close to mix of their pale and dark lagers and it happened just as these usually show - they have flaws of the both, but merits of none. Might just be the batch but it was definitely the most uninteresting one on the place.

Draught at the brewpub. Charneol colour with ok head. Light sulphur nose with a dash of malt and fruitiness. Soft creamy mouthfeel, yet light. Low malt profile and bit empty. Light phenolic with jellyish body. Estery, like red apples. Short flavour with low bitterness.

On tap at Kaltenberg Sörözö, Budapest. Pours unclear light amber with a big creamy off-white head. Sourish aroma, yeasty. Taste is the same fresh yeasts with some sour notes and a dry moderate bitter finish.

Another rull rich looking beer from this pub, the consistency is nice. Manhoghany brown look with tall creamy of white head. Nose is faint hopes and amber malts. Very smooth body with robust hoppy-bitter. Red-amber for sure, some molasses-sweet, bittersweet. Well rounded flavor, Very good and fresh. Reminds of fresh hop beers, sour and sweaty bitterness.
