Bottle, 1 liter, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. It pours an unclear, brown body under a small, beige head. The aroma is mostly malty, with caramel, dark bread and some piney hops. Some alcoholic notes in the flavor, with caramel, roasted malts and a pleasant bitterness. Pretty warming on the palate, full-bodied and sweet, with a nice carbonation level. Lasting, warming finish. Overall, way too warming, but it’s nice anyway. Sweet and caramel-ish. Like it. 140215 Benzai (15586) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2014
Sampled from bottle @ The Hague Tasting. Opaque brownish color, small light brown. Smell and taste malts, clearly wine influences, lightly hops, but a touch of sour as well. Decent body and carbonation.
