Bottle. A dense, two-finger beige head sits on top of a clear, dark brown body. Looking quite nice. The aroma has a nice roasted touch, with dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. Mostly on the dark malty side this one, not much hoppyness going on. The flavor too has the same roasted malts, with chocolate in the back. Full body and a pleasant carbonation, pretty dry too. Overall, a nice one indeed. 140228

Bottle [thanks to Secret Santa Europe] @ home. Dark brown color, medium sized beige to slightly brown head that lasts for a long time. Smell and taste malts, a bit earthy, lightly coffee, toasted malts, slightly roast, lightly bitter. Pretty useful dunkel imo. Medium body and carbonation.

330ml bottle, thanks to djoeye for sharing. A beige head resting on top of a dark brown body with a deep ruby glint. Fair lacing. Moderate roasted malty nose, hints of dark fruits. Blended dark malty flavours, impact of liquorice, dark caramel and dark bread. Subdued roasted end with hints of dark fruits. A nice one. It’s not really a Christmas Tasting in Odense. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with a roasted note of licorice. Dry and slightly tart roasted flavour giving it a very thin feel

bierkoning (13959) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 15, 2012
Pet-bottle from Cuso, thanks! Deep dark brown color. Roast, dark chocolate and licorice in the aroma. Roast and apple syrup in the flavor. Fairly low on carbon. Maybe a bit past its peak.
