Bottled 500ml PBFVIIIStefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Clear amber color, small white head. Toasted caramel, grass in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel, grassyness, some woody hoppyness. Lame.
500 ml bottle from Cuso. Thanks. Pours a gorgeous translucent amber-red color with a medium off-white head that has fair retention. The aroma is medium in strength with sweet malts, almonds and some bread. The taste features more sweet malts, mixed nuts, some light white fruits and caramel. The palate was light but effective and the carbonation is soft. Finishes short and dry. Overall: Very nice easy drinking beer. My first polotmavy and my first Slovak beer--thanks Imro.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 Bottle, dense bubbley head, beautifull clear very dark dark red to brown colour, aroma of strawberry jam, bread and caramel, flavour of caramel, bread and honey, medium empathic herbal bitterness. Smooth and drinkable but not exactly to my liking. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2013
0.33l bottle from trade with MisoW. This one has a nice clear deep copper colored body and a medium sized fading almost fizzy off-white top. The nose is as expected not to extreme, but true to the type with a soft grainy and sweet aroma blended with some boiled corn, English bitterness and a nice caramel sweetness. Definitely unlike any other marzen I’ve had in the taste. It’s somehow fruity with lots of over ripe fruits, some strong wet rocks flavor also here, as is a good earthy bitterness. It’s light oily - almost a bit watery on the mouthfeel and the carbonation level is average. Nothing to exciting the flavor really, but a well crafted easy to drink (though a bit boring) beer. Polotmavý for the win! 14.09.2013 Christos (5781) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle 330 ml, thanks to MisoW! Poured into a tulip. ABV 5.5%
Pours an amber coloured beer with a good sized, thin head, off white in colour, with average retention, leaving light lacing on the glass and a thin line around the glass’s wall.
Pleasant aroma, very malty, kind of grainy too. Little bit of caramel, soap, lighly roasted malts.
Very hoppy taste, quite bitter from the very start. Lighty acidic too but this actually makes it better. Taste reminds of a good pilsner, only more malty, plus there is this aforementioned acidity that bring to mind white grapes. Light roasted malts on the finish.
Medium thin body, nice carbonation. Mildly dry palate.
Overall a quite interesting beer, surely with high drinkability. Geiserich (4519) - Linz, AUSTRIA - OCT 6, 2013
Bottle, thanx to Cuso: Amber color, frothy off-white head. Malty, bready aroma. Flavor is very malty, tasty, light notes of roasted malt, light hops in the end. Pleasant. MrHangover (4552) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 15, 2013
Bottle, thnx to MisoW! Cheers man! Pours a headless, clear amber beer. There is a small amount of head, but that just disappeared before I even put the bottle back on my desk. Aroma is caramel, fruity yeast and a very faint touch of citric hops. Flavor is medium sweet and fruity with a malty backbone in it. Palate and mouthfeel are a bit watery and flat. Must be lack of carbonation. Very easy drinkable and enjoyable. Ok beer.
