   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 9/20

A half finger of head on a clear, golden colored body. Low head retention. The aroma is grain (rice) and stale lemon. The taste is moderate bitterness, with a little malty sweet note in the middle, finishes with a puckering bitterness. Not great. Crisp texture, moderate carbonation and lighter body. A below average euro pale lager.

Bottle from Lidl. Not much to say, bulk... clear golden color, thin white head. sweet aroma of malt. flavor is bit metallic, not much taste.

Bottle.( Green ) Golden appearance. Poured flat with no head. Slightly sweet with a trace of grapefruit. Typical Euro fizz. The green bottle was the most distinctive thing about it. My second from Bulgaria-its got to get better.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2017 From Lidl. In shaker glass. At Roquetas de Mar. Watching The Big Bang Theory. Very watery and with the flavor profile of a cheap supermarket brand label

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 Larnaka 19/7 2017. 50 cl bottle from BG-Zaria Mini Market (an Bulgarien boutique). The Classic beer label with a couple of gold medals and a lion walking around on two legs. If you look closely at the medals you can see that one is very old (1893), one is for having an Bulgarien Superbrand (whatever that means) and the last is a "Monde Selection" Award (a competition where around 90% of the products presented receive some kind of award). So I am not very impressed with the medals. Pours clear pale yellow with medium big white head. Settles as thin layer of almost transparent foam. Aroma has some malty sweetness and some sharp sour tang. Light notes of burnt rubber. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is pretty thin and watery. A little bit of sweetness and a little bit of bitterness with a kind of dry finish. It resembles a mineral water more then a beer. This is not great beer - but it does live up to the most important requirement when it’s 35 degrees - it quenches the thirst.
