Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a 1 finger white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, mango and a little honey. Taste adds a wheat like note, which I assume is the spelt. Didn't really pick up on the oat or rye. Honey becomes more prevalent as the beer warms. Medium creamy mouthfeel with a somewhat subdued carb. This seemed to be fairly heavy for a saison but was still very drinkable and pleasant.
On tap at the brewery on a visit with Max and Jess in 2014. Pours a faintly hazed gold with a large white head. Soft honey, musk, toast on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet grain, honey. Malt, wheat. Crisp and light. Nice floral notes into a spicy yeast finish. arminjewell (9585) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Pour out of bottle, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, herbs, some earthy notes with some husk, dough, touch of grainy malts into some slight orange. Taste was a mix of orange, herbs, some spice into dough, yeast, some grain into a bit of vanilla, slight earth, finishing dry. rumproasts (5342) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - NOV 14, 2014

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is estery and mild spiced. Bitter, estery, spiced and slight soapy. Bitter and slight herbal. Dry and bitter finish. 60minuteman (1685) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Super strong ABV saison. Love the spice and fruit character. It?s subtlety earthy but mainly from the yeast. Hot from the alcohol but not evident. Choppy finish, a bit weedy. I did enjoy it enough to bring a growler home, but if it was all my call it would have been Drift Line.

Sampled at the RBSG 2014. It poured a hazy burnt orange color with a white head. The aroma was funky, with citrus, hay and grass. The taste was of lemons, oranges, honey, funk, grass and hops. pineypower (3297) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - APR 8, 2014
Bottle. Pours out a moderate golden color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is of peppery earthy notes, sweet honey, lemon and some mild spices. Taste is complex and clean, earthy grains, light pepper, lemon peel, sweet honey and some lingering bitterness on a rather dry finish. Tasty Saison. crajun (1233) - , Texas, USA - MAR 30, 2014

750 ml bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting, and I believe its apperance was the handiwork of MaxxDaddy. If it was or not, thanks, Max, for being you. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Notes of straw, honey, bread, funk, grass, and florals. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, funky mouthfeel. Good, but not quite as good as the Brett version. >> Pours a low haze straw, weaker foam. Nose is fresh pale grist, farmy, raw, more of the grain forward farmhouse ale that seems to me lost in most saisons. Taste is fresh grain, no nonsense biscuit and cracker, fresh orange. Simple, but very good.
