UPDATED: MAR 19, 2013 Draft at Brewery. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of roast chocolate malt, cocoa and mild oak. Slight coffee in finish. Medium body.
On nitro tap at the brewery on a visit with Max and Jess in 2014. Pours a deep black with a creamy tan head. Big sweet bourbon, roast. Medium bodied but flat from the nitro. Soft wood, roast, cocoa, chocolate. Warm bourbon. MaxxDaddy (415) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2014
@ Kane. On nitro. Pours black with tight off-white head. Aroma is in your face bourbon. Wish it was a bit more subtle here. Taste brings more bourbon with at least some undertones of Omna. Get a slight amount of roast and chocolate. Some nuttiness in there as well. Palate is thick and slick. Finish is roasty with some bourbon. This probably should have come out of the barrel sooner. I can see why others werenít very high on this.
EDIT: prior rates say this wasnít aged long enough. Clearly they overcorrected here. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 25, 2014
From a growler, shared by Taylor at his house. Pours black with a thin film of tan lace. Growler had been open for at least 24 hours prior so I understand the lack of head. Slightly sharp boozy bourbon nose, lots of wood, some bittersweet cocoa. Flavor is a bit sharp as well, some slightly sour bourbon notes slightly created by the thinner mouthfeel. Okay. conway (2210) - - MAR 15, 2014
Draft at the brewery. Bourbon is a little overwhelming but supported by something akin to dark fruit. A little off balance. pineypower (3291) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Growler. Pours almost black with little to no light white head. Aroma is chocolate, light oak, some mild bourbon. Taste is smooth, chocolate, bourbon, light vanilla, mild alcohol. Body a but thin for the beer.

Draft at the Celebration of the Stout 2013. This had almost no bourbon in the flavor or the aroma. Itís seemed like a flatter version of Port Omna that was slightly diluted do to the barrel aging. Needs a lot more time in the barrel to add detectable bourbon notes. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Draft. Black pour with a lining of head. Light woody tones actually make te flavor milder than the normal port omna stout. Aroma is almost null, hints of roasted stout, not much to it.
