Head High is our interpretation of an American-style India Pale Ale (IPA). This beer is all about the hops; we use a blend of five different varieties all grown in the Pacific Northwest. A small charge of Chinook and Columbus early in the boil adds a smooth bitterness. A majority of the hops are then added late in the kettle or post-fermentation to produce a beer that is heavy on hop flavor and aroma. The combination of Cascade, Centennial, Citra and Columbus give Head High a noticeable grapefruit flavor with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Our house American ale yeast ferments to a dry finish that accentuates the use of imported Pilsner and lightly kilned crystal malt resulting in Head High’s straw color and crisp flavor.

Delicious ipa. Very dry with a pineapple hop aroma. Clean medium mouthfeel makes this very balanced and drinkable. Hops linger. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Gabf. Pours a cloudy orange with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and dank. Medium body, juicy, melon, grapefruit, lingering resin bitterness, very nice.

Strong citrus aromas. Gold and hazy in color with great head. Taste is citrusy of grapefruit and tangerine. Nice underlying malt notes. Crushable

Can from brewery: pours a so uncool mostly clear with an off white head. Aroma is pineapple, pine, citrus. Taste is tropical and citrusy, some light pine. Bitterness is there in moderate doses. Falls somewhere between a more traditional IPA and the contemporary juice bombs. However, it attains that balance with finesse and immense drinkability.

Can from dmac, cheers! Gold pour with a large white head. Mild marmalade complements plenty of piney c hop aromatics. Some gentle grass. Generally well balanced, bright carb makes this eminently crushable. More piney bitterness on the finish. Fairly delicate malt. Cool stuff.

Pours cloudy yellow orange. White foam. Pine and grapefruit. Similar taste. Bitter finish. Pretty darn well done.

Cannette.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2017 A hazed golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, loads of citrus pulp, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity citrusy biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Bar Left, Terminal C, Newark Airport.

16oz can from share. Golden body with small frothy white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, some of the malts, meadow and hay. Taste also features some of the grains and malts, with a nice hop backbone.
