Bottle that I traded way too much for. Poured a thick super dark black body under a super small foamy mocha head. Aroma of chocolate syrup, black coffee, maple syrup for some reason, light bourbon. Flavor is the same plus coffee mate creamer, and some super light bourbon. Full body with light carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Jared. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong roast coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate. Thick mouth, roast, dark chocolate, nice bitterness, hides alcohol well, really enjoyed this.

2016 Bottle at Dave’s birthday juice-a-thon. Poured deep black with khaki head. Smell and flavor are bourbon, chocolate cake, vanilla bean, sugar, oak, and molasses. Medium to fuller mouthfeel. Awesome dessert beer.

750ml bottle, shared with my brother – reviewed from notes. Aroma is milky, with brown sugar, milk chocolate, sweet bourbon, and coffee beans. Aroma is on the sweeter lactose side, but the bourbon adds a lot to round it out. Opened the bottle to a gusher, cork shot right off but was able to save most of the beer. Pours an inky black with soapy brown head that sits on the beer for the entire glass. Gorgeous rings of lace as the beer subsides. Taste is milk chocolate, marshmallow, coffee roast, toasted oak, lactose sugars and wet wood. Body is surprisingly thin and the carbonation is on the higher side. Finish is dry with notes of lactose and coffee. There is a bit of heat on the end but it is not unpleasant. Overall a pretty darn tasty milk porter with nice barrel characteristics. I enjoyed the oaky aftertaste with the coffee, but I was bummed out a bit by the super dry finish.
