There’s a very real risk that this is unrateable, because it tastes so much like coffee. After drinking a bottle, I definitely felt like I’d had a fair amount of beer, but the whole time I only tasted fresh roasted coffee. The lactose only adds to the impression, giving a bit of balancing sweetness and body. BackusWackus (38) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Rating my last beer at the shep. The aroma is amazing, it makes you wonder "where are my waffles?" as you sniff the heavenly smell of coffee. Well my friend, there are not waffles here - just amazing beer and the sound of a cocktail shaker. Kane has hit it out of the park and into a draft glass with this one. Amazing coffee flavor that will last you until your case of the Mondays.

(750ml bottle) espresso brown, fine tan bubbles. Nose of old coffee, umami, lactose, copper, briny. Taste of umami, old coffee grounds, very roasty, no real hint of much else as the roast overpowers, medium thick body, old burnt coffee linger. TheJvd (1291) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 20, 2016

750, capped. Wow, N--thank you! What an awesome treat. Pours an opaque matte black with a dense and creamy tan head that fades. Big coffee nose, very intensely roasty coffee aromatics. Creamy thick body with moderate carb. Coffee predominates throughout the mid palate without a doubt. Earthy, leathery notes in the background. Long earthy coffee finish. Black pour, smaller head, medium body with decent lacing. Huge spent coffee grain aroma, fairly bitter. Coffee is a bit more muted in the taste, fresh ground beans, milk, wood, sweet malt. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Nice. Sammy (12204) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2016

Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Deep dark brown color with a thin brown cap. Nose is roasty, mildly sweet. Rich espresso in the nose and into the taste... A big ole milk stout/Porter. Sweet and roasty, a little ash. Great coffee flavor.
