COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Object Permanence began as a rich English-influenced Barleywine brewed with floor malted Pearl barley from the United Kingdom. To this base malt we added dark Munich, Honey and three levels of crystal malts to add rich caramel, toast and dark fruit flavors. This chewy base beer was then racked into freshly emptied bourbon barrels were it sat for over a year developing flavors of molasses, vanilla, bourbon and caramel. The added layer of oak leaves a perception of dryness to balance this big, malty finish.

Bottle at Gabf. Pours a dark brown with medium tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is wood, candi sugar, bourbon. Slick body, vanilla, oak, toffee, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

Bottle. Teku. Strong luscious malt aroma. Light booze and vanilla. Initiallybthe tatse is thick but not cloying and pleasantly rich. Finish I a touch light and thin. Almost a touch of tannin or red wine. Hmmm.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/03/2017. Cloudy reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates gradually to a dense film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of bourbon, malt and dark fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, caramel malt and dark fruit. The finish is oaky and slightly syrupy with a fruit and bourbon aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Draft. Brown pour with little to no head. Sweet honey, fruit, oak, vanilla, and bourbon aromas. Flavors are harsh upfront, boozy, but mellow out on the finish, sweet, vanilla and fruit tones.

Bottle. Last of 3. Beautiful deep woody vanilla aroma. Little head. Stone fruit and bourbon barrel. Leather, old books, chocolate cherry liqueur. Instead of buying every bourbon barrel beer in the world, I’m going to start focusing on hoarding beers like this.

Bottle. Much thanks to Dave for the pickup. Pours out dark cola almost black color with a small white head. Aroma is awesome, dark fruits, smoke, oak, woodsy notes, caramel, toffee, toast, chocolate, some sweet vanilla, bourbon. Taste is slightly less complex but still really solid. Smoky wood, oak, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, toffee, toast, light syrup, earth, dark fruit, light alcohol burn. Really solid.

750ml wax dipped bottle from the source. Poured a murky muddy deep brown with a tight foamy beige head. Aroma is the best part of this beer. Aroma starts off sweet, Honey, toffee, caramel, barrel, light bourbon, vanilla extract. Flavor of super dry grains, barrel, vanilla extract, old caramel and English toffee, boozy bourbon. Palate is dry throughout, big mouthfeel, softer tight bubbly carbonation, decent heat throughout. Flavor got better with warmth.
