Overhead is an American-style Imperial IPA. This beer is loaded with our favorite hops; Amarillo, Columbus, Centennial and Simcoe. It’s bittered with a gigantic charge of Columbus and Simcoe early in the kettle that is followed by several rounds of late kettle and whirlpool hops using Amarillo, Centennial and Simoce. In the end, Overhead is brewed with over 5 pounds of hops per barrel which includes two rounds of dry hopping to create a cascade of pine, resin and citrus hop flavors that consume your palate. Although we brew Overhead with the same imported Pilsner and light crystal malts as Head High and ferment it with our house ale strain to produce a dry crisp finish, this blend of different hops creates an entirely new experience all its own.

Draft. Pours light ruby/amber with fluffy white head that dissipates to some pretty lacing. Nose is pungent hops and citrus fruit. Taste is hugely bitter with strong citrus/tropical fruit underpinnings. Great soft, juicy palate. Total show stopper. One of the best local beers I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampler at Yard House. Pale gold with light haze. Head is ridiculous. Hasn't moved for 15 minutes while I rated other beers. Aroma all hops that are lightly fruity and lightly citrus but still has hair spray. Flavor is similar. Some sweet malt helping the flavor. What is up with hoppy beers nowadays.

16 oz. can. Clear pale orange. Smells of orange, grapefruit, some sweetness and a little alcohol. Tastes of bready malt and sweetness. Grapefruit and orange hops. Moderate bitterness. Medium heavy body. Decent.

L42 Bottleshare. Big thanks to Leighton for the can. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Light dry malts, thin creamy sweetness. Mild citrus in to sweet floralness and then back to citrus, tangy this time. Hop spice. Touches of fresh orange and lemon. Bitter seltzer. Mild mango. Finishes light with more hop spice and a return of the light creamy malt. Spicy linger. Very nice.
