Draft at the brewery. Little bit of coffee, lots of an indeterminate spice that's tough to pin down as pepper. Not getting any cinnamon. Still pretty tasty though. vtafro (7444) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Draft. Black pour with tan head. A mix of coffee, cinnamon and peppers added to roasted malt aroma. Flavor is mostly coffee, touch of pepper with a backbone of chocolate and roasted malt tones. pineypower (3346) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Draft at Kane event. Pours out almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is of medium roast. Coffee, sweet chocolate, light earthy pepper. Taste is light chili pepper at first that shows back up in the finish, notes, of coffee, chocolate, light sweetness. Coffee seems to have cut the spice a bit compared to the regular Mole. dmac (6459) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Draft during Celebration of the Stout. This one had the aroma of lighter coffee notes to not drown out the cinnamon and chocolate of the mole. Roasty burnt malts and well done toast round out the aroma. The flavor starts off with light coffee, that goes into burnt toast and some dark chocolate along with a hint of cinnamon and very light pepper on the end. Although nice I think the regular mole has enough going on without the coffee addition. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 16, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2013 Growler from brewery. Pours black with tan head. Nose is cinnamon, coffee, cocoa and light chili pepper - some herbal notes. Taste is same. The coffee treatment really comes through and balances out the flavors. Would still like a little more pepper heat. Medium body.
