16 oz can shared by AdamC via skrip!
Deep burgundy/maroon-tinted dark mahogany, good clarity and showing only a spattering of dark beige head.
Orange zest is prominent though not dominant, in the nose, with crunchy coffee, spicy vanilla and notes of fudge and/or chocolate in the background, more as an afterthought. No alcohol or flaw and while the orange and vanilla are front-and-center, they aren't overdone.
In the mouth it's very, very light, even for its relatively small size. Light chocolate and hints of roast easily give way to the orange and vanilla spiciness. Bitterness is kept to a minimum, however. Texture is a mix of hard specialty malts, low, somewhat engaging carbonation and very low base malts. In that sense, it seems a bit thin, but given the flavors and adjuncts are quite conservatively done, it comes off just fine and very drinkable.

16 oz. can thanks AdamChandler on this can. Color is deep black, thin head. Aroma is a mild orange zest, chocolate and mild coffee notes. Taste is sweet at front but gets dry in the end. Has a light chocolate with a nice citrus zest finish. Real nice for a stout under 7 % gravity. Nice stout!

Via a can, small head, oily and completely black. Thanks Skrip for sending this over. Smells like orange peel, not a lot of vanilla but there’s a malty barley smell. mouthfeel is really thin, holy orange. there’s a ton of it. it might borderline a little medicinal but it’s really nice. not overpowering. I still don’t get a lot of vanilla. decent stout though. could definitely dome it solo.

Dobre pomarańczowe, choć trochę zbyt perfumowe jak na mój gust. Słodka czekolada, bardzo intensywna skórka pomarańczy, wanilia tylko w smaku

Growler at Dmac’s. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of vanilla, cocoa, orange cream and roasted dark malt. Orange cream flavor dominates throughout - just like a creamsicle! Medium body.

PhillyCraft (7979) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2017
Can, pours a black color with small head. Nose is heavy candy orange, somewhat artificial smelling like the candy orange slices or a grapefruit sculpin. Flavor is chocolate covered orange with some vanilla bean and dark malt. Medium body.
Earlier Rating: 4/29/2016 Total Score: 3.8
Tap at P house, this version says 6.6%. Poured black with small to medium beige head, I don’t remember orange creamsickle popsicles as a kid having chocolate in them but that’s mostly how this taste: chocolate, candy orange, malt roast and sweet vanilla bean. Wouldn’t want more than 5-6 ounces but an interesting beer overall. Tried again in March 17, still candy orange, chocolate and vanilla bean. Better than the last time tho
