Single Fin is a Belgian-style Blonde Ale. This beer is modeled after a Belgian Single or Enkel which is a low-alcohol table beer for monks in Trappist monastery. They are traditionally brewed for daily consumption and can be difficult to find beyond the walls of the monastery. The concept behind Single Fin was to make available locally a low alcohol, but flavorful beer that retained the traditional profile and body of a Trappist-style beer.

Malt: Pilsner, Vienna & White Wheat

skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2015
Pours light orange with a one finger white head with decent lacing. Aroma is of belgian yeast, ripe fruits, wet hay, bready malts and some light floral hops. Taste is similar to the aroma with some some sour fruits also. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, slightly bitter, medium finish. Overall, a pretty nice Belgian ale.

ben4321 (6735) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 8, 2015

Location: Draft Stewed Cow, 2/8/15

Aroma: Sweet aroma of banana and Belgian yeast.
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small head and no lace.
Flavor: The flavor is fairly sweet, not cloying though, later yeast/spice finish.
Palate: It is light-medium bodied, with a soft carbonation, and a fairly short duration.
Overall Impression: This one is solid enough. Unlike the refs in this MD-Iowa game, who couldn’t be worse at their jobs. If they were a beer, I’d give those guys a 0.5. Way to suck at your job.

gripweed57 (2863) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUL 18, 2014
Growler from Joe Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a creamy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is light wheat malt with notes of honey and yeast. Light bready malt flavor has notes of wheat and lemony hops. Light bodied and refreshing.

John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - MAY 24, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2015 Draft at the brewery. Hazy gold. Aroma is light fruit esters, honey, and banana. The taste adds light yeast and floral notes. The palate has a clean dry finish and is very light overall, but the aftertaste is dirty. Good job by Kane.
