The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2016 Pours a dark cloudy amber gold with frothy head. Aroma: bread, sourdough, fresh grains, light banana, very light citrus. Taste: follows aroma but despite grain components (fresh grains, sourdough, hay) it is refreshing and very drinkable. Faint fruity elements, mostly banana, orange peel. Grain components return in finish, accompanied by a gentle maltiness and lingering malty bitterness. Not bad.

Frisch vom Fass in Meissen getrunken. Trübe mit weißem Schaum im Glas. In der Nase das Hefearoma. Im Geschmack sehr nach Banane erinnernd.

500ml can from Bon Repas. Pours a cloudy orange-gold, nice finger of creamy white foam. Candy banana aroma, fruit roll cake, clove. Flavour and feel let it down a bit, spritzy mineral water feel pulls through notes of wheat, banana, citrus. Too biting and thin for a weiss, needs to be creamier. Passable cheap option, but many locals do it better, not to mention better Bavarian imports.

Bottle from a bottle shop in Germany. Foam banana and some pale bread on the nose. Similar taste. A bit too mild on the wheat aromas, like foam banana.

Bottle. Golden colour, hazy, nice rocky head that stays quite long. Aroma is quite much white bread, also some banana, a bit of cellar and grassy hops. Light but interesting bitterness, quite dry. An interesting hefeweizen.

50 cl swing top bottle. Cloudy orange color, lots of sediment. Big solid candid white head. Fruity weizen smell. Aroma is wheat malt, weizen, fruity (banana, mango, light citrus), earthy/doughy yeast, leftover of spices/almond. Sweetish taste, no bitterness. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth aromatic finish. It’s a little flat, it misses a sharp thing. I’m quite tied to this one as it somehow introduced me to weizens, to swing top bottles (which for some reasons makes beer better), and the pizza+weizen combo.
