COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

0.5l bottle. This is a hazy dark wood-orange colored beer with a big and everlasting really fluffy off-white wheat-head. It has a mild banana chewing gum aroma with yeast, sweet wheat, spices and something reminding me of white chocolate paper. It actually smells quite alright. It’s average carbonated with a mild oily texture in the mouth. Flavors also that bubblegum-banana thingy found in the aroma. Light yeast, a both sourness and sweetness coming through near the end and it has a mild light almost peppery-spiced aftertaste. Yeah, this was a good weiz. 22.06.2012

I drank this bottle at Domodossola, on the main square, enjoying the sun and finding a hotter weather thab Lausanne and this f..... bise. Personnaly, I find this beer classical, the typical German Weissbiee but we are never boring. The color is yellow/orange and troubled, thin and white head, staying a couple of seconds, the carbonation is normal. The taste is with wheat, banana, some cloves, a bit watery and a bit sour during all the phases that you drink this bottle.

5.4%ABV. Weissbier. Poured out honey, light amber, cloudy. The exact color of watered honey. 12ºSRM. Nose is sweet, malty and beery. Light yeasty nose. Biscuity aroma. Mouthfeel is carbonated and beery. Palate has spicy with cloves and some yeasty flavors on the front. Palate expands a bit more with flavor of raw wheat flour with a pleasing broad mineral body, like Perrier. Finish is clean and light with traces of mineral, again like the aftertaste of Perrier or sparkling San Pellegrino. Overall impresssion is that of light-bodied beer with pleasing mineral flavors fronted by cloves and hint of nutmeg. Goes on Favorites List!

UPDATED: APR 8, 2017 (500ml swing-cap bottle) Bottle opens with a powerful pop, and billows of smoke! Hazy orange beer, with a rocky white head. Inviting aroma of bananas, caramel, cloves, honey, and fresh wheat. A huge banana flavour erupts on the palate, leading to bread, caramel, kiwi fruit, and powdered malt. Little hop aroma. Slightly bitter finish, with hints of pine resin and minerals. The mouthfeel is smooth, but a little too light. Tasty Hefeweizen, but could do with a more rounded palate and flavour.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with a fluffy head. Aroma of bananas, yeast and lemons. Taste of bananas, clove, yeast and citrus fruits. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. There are many ordinary/solid Hefeweizens and this is one of them.
