GIJOE (1256) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - OCT 25, 2016
Pours nearly black with a thin beige head that dissipates quickly to a ring. Nose is bursting with roasted malt, chocolate cherry, umami, licorice, and hints of vanilla and smoke. Taste is on the bitter side, but the rich malts are ever present. Lively carbonation. A very well-balanced, luscious brew, full and creamy on the palate, with a long, boozy aftertaste. Excellent!

RRistow12 (944) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - SEP 7, 2016
Tasted from bottle. Pours black with light tan head. Aroma is robust sweet bourbon, maple syrup, chocolate, caramel. Taste is quite complex. Moderate to heavily sweet with mild to moderate sweetness. Flavors of chocolate, maple syrup, toffee, caramel, vanilla and of course bourbon. Incredibly well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BrewMstr (194) - Pleasant View, Utah, USA - AUG 30, 2016
Draft at pub. Very smooth especially for the 11.5% ABV. Malt forward with bourbon finish, nice change using a porter (ok, Imperial porter) instead of a stout.

From bottle at a tasting @ Bor’s, with Borresteijn, Zlotta, Markoijelena, Adamnowek, Skortila, MarcodL and Harmen. Bottled 12/15. Almost black color, but not quite opaque. Beige head. Aroma’s: from the glass not so much actually, light alcohol, weird. Retronasal it’s quite the opposite: sweet, alcohol, light bourbon, vanilla, oak. Flavor is moderate sweet, roasty, a bit alcohol. Medium bodied. Long finish, but no new flavors. Nice after all.

skortila (5985) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - APR 17, 2016
Bottle tasted @ Bor’s place. The aroma has light roast, light chocolate, bit bourbon. The aroma is quite weak unfortunately. Black coloured beer with a beige head. The taste has sweet chocolate, bit roast, bit coffee and bourbon. Taste is definately better/stronger than the aroma. Good overall.
