It’s a pretty standard roasty bourbon barrel imperial porter. Not remarkable but good flavors and good aroma. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - NOV 2, 2015
fantastic barrel aged porter. Tons of vanilla and chocolate notes. Some roast, very thick and creamy. Finish is brownies and roast. Loved it. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 30, 2015

I love this beer. A bourbon barrel stout with vanilla added. Very nice. But it's hard to find. I was limited to two bottles. Very enjoyable. wsnich (27) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2015
The first good beer to come from the city of Houston. Finally, a decent, local, bourbon barrel aged beer can be found on shelves at a decent price.
Perfectly integrated and deceptively crushable.

Warm bourbon and vanilla to the nose. Wonderful warmth of bourbon and vanilla continues on the tongue with a hint of caramel and coffee. It is like liquid candy. Highly recommended.

Highland Village, Tx. - Whole Foods - on tap. Deep, dark brown pour, medium thick off-white head, light film of lacing. Molasses, creosote, baker’s unsweetened chocolate in the aroma. Flavor has some raisin sweetness, a touch of chocolate, a brief hint of bourbon, but not overwhelming or distracting. Nice thick mouthfeel. Enjoyable, even though it us triple digits outside. Originally rated on 5/7/14. Had this at the brewery this past saturday, fresh outta the tap.I didnt really dig the regular version of this when i tried it last so.. Pours a pitch black color with a 2 finger dark tan head, that reduces to a nice cap. Good lacing bands around the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, bread, vanilla, toffee, clove, oak, bourbon, light coffee, and roasted earthiness. Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, toast, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, oak, bourbon, and roasted earthiness. Nice complexity of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great malt/barrel flavor balance. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied, alcohol is well hidden.Overall this is a excellent barrel aged porter. jhamp9 (1860) - Corinth, Texas, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Near black pour with a beige head. Viscous lacing. Aroma is bourbon up front, milk chocolate, roast, and faint licorice. Taste is again bourbon forward with molasses, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and char. Some alcohol warmth. Slick full body. Really nice. dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - JUL 5, 2015
On tap at Dallas Beer Kitchen. Pours black with a thin tan head. The aromas are vanilla, bourbon, coffee, chocolate. Mouthfeel is dry and bitter with an oily feel and heavy body. Cheers!
