Fortunate to have last glass poured from the cask at Hay Merchant last year. Poured in a snifter. Dark black color with half inch head. Aromas of chocolate, booze and wood. First note was of chocolate full bodied porter then boozieness from the bourbon then ends with slight woody feel and chocolate dissipating off the tongue. Great experience like watching unicorns fornicate. morebeerdude (7) - Alabama, USA - JAN 22, 2015 does not count
Draft 2014 vintage. Deep black. Little lace. Bourbon strong on the nose but not cloying. Pallet is somewhat sweet and lingering. Mouthfeel is thick, filling and smooth. Notes of vanilla bourbon toffee with balances bitter and thick finish that quickly lightens but lingers. Quite like it.

Black pour with a thin ring of beige head. Big boozy bourbon nose with oak char and brown sugar and sharp liquor and earthy cocoa. And more roast. Big boozy flavor too with a nice chat and bourbon flavor with dark sweet earthy malts, a little molasses and strong bitterness. Roasted caramel and bourbon round out the finish. Deep and warm and sweet with a solid yet smooth bourbon backing. j12601 (11571) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 28, 2014

This might be the most delicious beer I’ve ever tasted. Besides having a perfect porter flavor, this beer had a creamy quality that was out of this world. JRG7 (21) - - DEC 10, 2014
Bourbon comes through in the nose. Almost no lace. A little bitter at first but is eventually balanced out with the bourbon and then finishes with somewhat of a coffee aftertaste. stephenj007 (123) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 27, 2014
F.U.N. Series 003 2012! Wow...this beer is quite the bomb! Big bomber bottle poured and sampled in a beer snifter. The balanced attributes in this brew are exceptional. Bourbon barrel aged brews typically are a bit heavy on the bourbon flavors and aromas, but this brew has balanced it all perfectly. Leaning a tad on the sweeter side, but not too much.
The oak and alcohol aromas are smooth. Also some nice tootsie roll, smoke and roast malts aroma present. The taste has got to be the star of this brew...nothing is overpowering, You get the mouth of bourbon alcohol without the burn, a bit of hops up front, the sweet malt notes on the end.
The finish sticks around slightly, as a way of reminding you that the bottle is waiting to pour again....
My plan is to buy another bottle and use it as a base for a BBQ sauce....
and an extra bottle to age for a bit again.... BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - OCT 25, 2014

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a brown-black color with a medium khaki head that recedes gradually. Partial top ring of lace. Bourbon, vanilla and malt in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon and chocolate malt. The finish is roast malt and bourbon. Pretty good overall.
