UPDATED: JAN 22, 2015 On tap at the Big Hops Growler Station in San Antonio during a Karbach tap takeover.
Excellent appearance with an exceptionally creamy and durable tan head.
Excellent use of barrel aging: The whisky and wood are prominent but do not bury the fine porter base. Near perfect bitter/sweet balance. Very smooth fulll body with spot on carbonation.
O: highly recommended. Crispy34 (496) - Texas, USA - JUN 8, 2014
Draft. Aroma is dark malt an some oak with some bourbon. Appearance is a dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Taste is bourbon with some dark malt. Palate is a boozy aftertaste. Overall, an ok beer. Boozy as all get out.

Pours a nice black color with minimal tan head. Not a whole lot of carbonation on this. Vanilla, bourbon, oak and some dark fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice warm sensation from the barrels. Tejas (1006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 28, 2014
Draught > Meddlesome Moth. Menu said F.U.N. 005. Damn Karbach makes some great beers. I think they’re the best brewer in Texas. Super smooth and not too boozy and good vanilla flavors. Great beer.

Pours jet black with a thin mocha head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, molasses and vanilla. Taste is roasty chocolate, coffee and bourbon. Way too carbed. Not bad, the excess carbonation just ruins this for me. blipp (9139) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 17, 2014
Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Medium roasted malts, moderate sweetness, lighter bourbon notes, molasses and hints of vanilla. Light roasted malts in the finish. lb4lb (2587) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 16, 2014
Smell is strong vanilla and bourbon and a bit oversweet. Dark black pour and lots of head. Taste is of bourbon and more milky or semi sweet chocolate. Not too dry or bitter up front but a bit bitter in the finish. Thinner than expected and almost a hint of booze I think. There is a lightness to the finish despite it being strong. Lots of bourbon flavor. Good, not great. jtclockwork (16436) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 6, 2014
