Bottle split at Pedro leaving drinks, from an IP trade, as 007 24/04/15.
Pitch black with a decent dirty tan head that retains well.
Nose is rich roast, spice, bourbon strains, charr, treacle toffee, chocolate.
Taste comprises cocoa powder, big bourbon strokes, treacle toffee, charr, chocolate fudge, malt.
Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a subtle booze streak.
Decent BA impy, bourbon not so subtle at times but a pretty balanced affair all told. Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 30, 2016
Had this one on tap at the brewery. Medium brown. Bourbony nose. Quite sweet. Chocolate, and vanilla. Soft body. Basically adds vanilla to the regular basic Hellfighter, without a whole lot of nuance. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 6, 2014

Nearly black in color with soft carbonation. Intense vanilla and wood notes with a mild booziness. A nice roasted malt aroma, dark chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Just a bit of caramel sweetness. The flavor is quite nice with a nice chocolate, caramel, and roast combination along with the intense barrel flavors of bourbon, wood, and vanilla. Still a touch boozy, but enjoyable. On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a pitch black with small beige head. The aroma is smoke, oak and roast. Thin mouthfeel with a rich chocolate and smoke and vanilla with a long lingering light bitter finish. Alcohol present but not too overpowering. A very good Imperial porter from Karbach.
Thinner beer for its type. Very bourbonny, slight tartness, decent but not amazing.
