Some booze. A hint of funk. Light orange Amber. White quickly fading head. I guess the oak from the Chardonnay barrels gives it some whiskey flavor. Sweet and slightly tart. Really nice. Dry finish.

Nice saison with a spicy touch. Hints of tart fruit and wood. Hay and cereal touches with a grass essence. Some funk. Itzjerm (3111) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - JAN 16, 2017
A very nice saison. But I get no barrel flavors from this beer. Must be missing barrel though. Maybe it just added to the balance. I refreshing non sharp saison.

Clear gold. Lots of head. Quite winey, some pepper notes. Pretty enjoyable imo.. onceblind (10527) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 24, 2016
Clear brilliant golden with a fast fading cap. Brilliant woody and softly bourbonny nose with saison grains and esters and a fluffy background with a kiss of pear and apple yeast esters. Bright vibrant flavor with yeasty tree fruity esters, a kiss of black pepper, bourbon barrel booze and woodiness with a kiss of lemon zest.

Fine bleach white head, clear yellow body with minimal carbonation. Nice complex aroma that resembles gueuze or lambic, white wine notes for sure and hints of wheat grain in thar. A bit of agitated yeast dudes hangin’ around too. Flavour is a subtle saison with a lot of white wine on the edges; not necessarily too much but it does stand out. I’d say it’s a good mix and a successful experiment, like a beer/wine cocktail mixed together all sensitive-like. Good for a lighter option, nice acid would work well with lots of pork products that I am now dreaming about devouring.... bytemesis (9190) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 7, 2016
Tap. Pours clear deep golden, small off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pretty heavily white wine dominated, some oak tannin, lemon. Flavor is lightly tart, light residual sweetness, very light bitterness. Dominant white wine notes. Light plus body. Not bad but a bit of a one-hit wonder. baraciisch (3362) - California, USA - SEP 24, 2016
Clear gold... Aroma of grape juice, light white wine on nose... Flavor is a little too fruity, not dry enough to be a saison... Spritzy mouthfeel... all over the place, not terrible but not that great

Taste like wine. White wine. Boozy and pear flavor. Not bad. Poured from draft at their brewery. Scopey (15652) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2016 Keg at Drink of Ages as karbach FUN series 014 barrel aged saison(probably a typo). Pretty sure this is the same thing. It pours clear amber with minimal head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, gingerbread, grape skin, fruit cake, cereal and something almost menthol on the back-end. The taste is crisp, light bitterness, cereal, toasted grain, quite sweet, sticky, vinous, peppery spice, but of alcohol elderflower and gooseberry with a dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. A bit sweet and sticky. Sounds good, but doesn’t quite deliver.
