Bomber to glass in the dark lord line. Really tasty spicy hops with a touch if dark malt. One of the better black IPAs I’ve had recently. ZacM612 (869) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAR 27, 2014
Very dark brown, nice thick tan head with lots of lacing. Very hoppy aroma and flavor. A little coffee and chocolate. Nice bitter finish. Ferris (17097) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 19, 2014
Bottle - Skunky hops and some roast. Jet black with a rich brown head. Light roast with a skunky hoppy note and a decent amount if bitterness. More hop forward than roasty but still nice. ttoadee (1664) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Cask. Darkest amber, almost black, borders opaque. Thin off white head. Bitter. Middle is chocolate malt massaged to a gentle sweetness. Finish jumps in with a strong, but balanced bitterness. kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Deep chalky brown with a tan foamy head. Spicy hoppy aroma. Malty body, creamy texture but bitter flavor with roasted malt. Pretty good.

One of my absolute favorite beers. Pours black with a light tan head. It has a hoppy flavor with a mild coffee aftertaste. Flavorful and smooth. I definitely recommend it! hombrepalo (1972) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 3, 2014
22oz bottle from Zinister. Deep brown color with a minimal head. Nice aroma with grapefruit, more orange citrus, roast coffee, and some chocolate. Wow! Taste is a bit different. More citrus with less malt. Slightly thin. suprchunk (2994) - EffOff, Florida, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Black colored pour. Big off-white head. Plenty of lacing left behind. Huge hoppy aroma with some fruity notes and malt and bread. Huge hoppy flavor with the same fruity malt notes. Finishes a little dry yet very fruity and with some hops. Damn good. brewballs (215) - USA - NOV 24, 2013
Pretty tasty brew. A black IPA? I’ve never had one. Black coffee hue. Hoppy notes. Light head. Smooth wash. No cloying aftertaste. Definitely not dry. It has a warmth to it, that it fits perfect any season. Enjoyable. Karbach keeps adding to its impressive brew catalogue. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Bottle. Blackish beer with a dark tan head. Grapefruit and pine aroma with light dark malts. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light cocoa. Medium bodied. Cocoa and pine linger with grapefruit and light chocolate.
