COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a job. And a hazardous one at that. Benefits, you ask. I hardly think so. From the depths of the earth leap flames of destruction. When time is of the essence, the Hellfighter boldly steps in the line of danger. Whether or not he’s insane is not important now. It’s with intensity and aggression that the Hellfighter taunts the blaze of almost certain doom. Our Imperial Porter is much the same. At 9.5% ABV and black as oil, Hellfighter Imperial Porter, with roasted coffee and chocolate malt characteristics, finishes what it started. This explosion of flavors will extinguish even a Texas-sized penchant for boldness. Intense and maybe a little insane, drink carefully but drink often. Blaze on!

On tap at the Flying Saucer Garland BeerFeäst. Poured a perfect dark brown with a frothy tan top. Flavors of Cocoa, malty, boozy, roasted malts, and sweet malts. Medium carbonation, thick body. Damn good beer!

Tap at the brewery. Pours a beautiful dark brown, dark khaki head that sticks, very lovely. Aroma is roasted nuts, cocoa, roasted coffee, just great. Thick and creamy, this porter has high specific gravity. Taste is strong roasted malts and an underlying hop presence. Loved this beer.

Tap at Flying Saucer, Sugar Land.
Pours a deep, thick mahogany with an aroma of nutty chocolate and light coffee. Flavor is velvety caramel cocoa, dark cherry, and chocolate syrup. Oily mouthfeel. I’d fight hell with it.

Ahh, finally! Can’t believe I missed this one last year. Hella black with a taste to match -- chocolate milk with a shot of espresso.

On draft at Craft Pride pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, cherry pit, almond. Medium mouthfeel, average carbonation. Long sweet finish. Very good Porter that definitely tips over the line into stout territory. RIP Karbach.

Bottle - Average head. Smooth and creamy look to it. Nice chocolate and bourbon aroma. Very smooth bourbon, chocolate and coffee taste. Silky smooth body. Glad I have more than one bottle of this.

Very, very dark brown with a moderate mocha colored head that dissipates but leaves a decent amount of lacing. Aroma of chocolate milk, roast and coffee; a touch mild. Lots of flavor though: dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee creating a rich semi sweet semi bitterness. Medium-full bodied and a bit creamy. Their best so far.

The best dark beer to come out of the brand new Houston brewery. Great taste with a deep flavor and smooth finish.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 2/12/14, My 3000th American Rating! USA! USA!

Aroma: The nose is roasted malts and chocolate, some spice, earth, and dark fruit
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a lasting head and coating lace
Flavor: The flavor is rich and malty, mostly roast and chocolate, with a little earth and spice
Palate: The body is on the full side, it has a smooth, thick feel, soft carbonation, and a long finish
Overall Impression: Watching the olympics as I drink this, so I had to throw a little national pride. I sure do rate a lot more American craft than anything else. Anyway, this is another really tasty offering from Karbach. This is a bold, flavorful beer.
