Tons of flavor. Lots of barreled goodness and hints of chocolate. Pours a rich black with a short head.

Black hue with a thin light tan head. Rich dark malty nose that has as much Belgian qualities perhaps more than stoutliness. Raisin and dark fig on the nose with roast and a kiss of mocha. Semisweet body that’s dark and roasty sweet with cocoa and fig and a kiss of coffee, and a dark malty semisweet finish. fiveacestx (977) - Texas, USA - APR 9, 2017
Bottle - Average head. Smooth and creamy look to it. Nice chocolate and bourbon aroma. Very smooth bourbon, chocolate and coffee taste. Silky smooth body. Glad I have more than one bottle of this. gephross100 (943) - Bellaire, Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2016
On draft at Craft Pride pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, cherry pit, almond. Medium mouthfeel, average carbonation. Long sweet finish. Very good Porter that definitely tips over the line into stout territory. RIP Karbach. Scopey (16276) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2016
Keg at the brewery. It pours pretty much black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, toasty, earth, cacao nibs, powdered chocolate, light spice and treacle. The taste is smooth, bitter, chocolate, toasted brown sugar, toffee, treacle, rocky road, spice, some alcohol warmth, charred wood, pepper, earth with a dry, warming finish. Full boys and moderate carbonation. Pretty good, if a touch sweet. The bourbon BA version which I had right next definitely wins.

Poured from draft at their brewery. Disappointed. Black with no head. Wasn't what I expected. Boozy brown sugar concoction Oakes (19426) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 30, 2016
Medium brown. Has some chocolate taste, fairly sweet. A fairly simple, reasonably tasty, sweet chocolatey strong porter. Not seeing anything massive or standout, though. Sammy (13000) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2015
a solid IP, thanks Beeringer. Black, thick, booze only in finish. Chocolate, coffee grounds, insanely drinkable. jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 9, 2014
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a big, lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some light coffee, chocolate, hints of smokiness, light notes of alcohol, hints of dough, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same. Average to smoother texture. A decent beer for the style, but could be better. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2014
Bottle, 22oz. It pours a really dark body, more or less black, and topped by a dense, beige head of finger-thick size. It’s roasted and chocolatey on the palate, with some tar and charcoal hints. Cellar notes. It’s faintly warming on the palate, full-bodied and soft, with a pleasant carbonation level. Mostly dry, but there’s some sweetness in the flavor. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee, and some dried fruit notes. Lasting roasted finish. Sure a nice one, but in a strange way I’m bored by it. Even though it’s a quite complex one. 140515
