COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Resinous, dank aromas fill the air. The sky is filled with yellowish-green clouds that look like hop cones. Everything you touch leaves your fingers sticky and now even the people around you look like hop cones. Their faces begin to ooze lupulin... You are in a state of Hop Delusion, but you knew what you signed up for when you popped this bottle. You knew that it had over 100 IBUs and was dry hopped with insane amounts of Simcoe and Mosaic hops, but you chose to drink it anyway. Its difficult to say if you will ever snap out of it, for you have been smitten with the disorder that many can never overcome.

On cask at Sugarland Flying Saucer. I have yet to try an IPA on cask that I like better than the keg. I compared this (in pints) side by side against Endeavor and Maharaja. They all look almost identical in the glass. Hop Delusion is is full of fruit and pine, but (this cask version at least) is not as hoppy and citrusy as Endeavor. This version lacks the hop punch I love in a IIPA. Its still good, and I look forward to doing the same comparison when I find it on keg instead of cask. Bring on the Valkyrie, Southern Star! I think youll have a winner for best IIPA produced in the Houston area and perhaps beyond.

12 oz can. Crafted on 07/27/16. (Specs) Austin, TX.
Cloudy deep golden color with a mid-size foamy off-white head. Sweet fruity hops, moderate bitterness, caramel malt and some watermelon in the aroma. The flavor is fruity and resiny hops, strong bitterness, sugary sweetness and caramel malt. Hoppy IIPA.

May 2016 - Bottle share at Floor 42 with many thanks to LKS for the Texan Tick. As Karbach Hop Delusion. Amber orange, clear, lightly sparkling, dense foamy beige head. Aroma is boiled sweets, caramel and toffee, pineapple cube sweets and various other sweet stuff. Body is frothy and rounded. Taste is sweet toffee and sugar cane, resinous pine hops, grassy finish. A decent enough hoppy number, but too sweet for me. (3.6)

Cask conditioned, fresh and bright zest nose. Dull yellow pour, no head. Almost no carbonation. Plenty of bitterness and the dank taste isnt lingering.

Special cask version for Meddlesome moth dry hopped w/Sorachi and Mandrina. Poured hazy gold with a foamy white head. Resinous and dank earth aroma, Flavor is very green hop, with grass and earth, and the cask gave it a pleasantly full mouthfeel.
