From manny57 in a fantasy baseball league. Thanks! Pours a hazy brownish amber with a small beige head. Nose has some wood smoke, light earthy chocolate malt, and toast. Flavor is really unique, with a certain woody smokiness

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 4/1/14

Aroma: The nose is full of smoked malts and meat, and some other malty notes
Appearance: It pours a brown-black color without much head or lace at all
Flavor: The taste is mostly smoked meats/malts, some peat, and a little roast
Palate: The body is medium, it has average-plus carbonation, and a bit of a roasty feel
Overall Impression: This is a nice smoked. The meaty/smokey flavor dominates over mostly everything else. Overall, this is a pretty nice example of the style.

Ferris (16538) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 31, 2014
Draft - Little bacon, wood smoke and roast malts. Dark mahogany with a thin beige head. Malty molasses, wood smoke and lots of raisin. A bit on the sweet side and not enough oomph to float my boat.

651mL thanks to djd07. Pours a clear, deep ruby. Giant tan head formation. Big lace. Vanilla, dairy, thick nose with sweeter strawberries. Taste is smoked, soy, savory with raisins. Odd combination. Dusty finish. Chalky. Not bad.
