It’s a job. And a hazardous one at that. Benefits, you ask? I hardly think so. But the show must go on. So, it’s with bravado that the Rodeo Clown takes his place in the arena lights. Whether or not he’s insane is not important right now. It’s with grit and intensity that the Clown steps in the path of almost certain destruction. Our Double IPA is much the same. At 9.5% ABV, Rodeo Clown Double IPA coats the tongue in bitterness and packs a punch that will knock a bull on its ass . Intense and maybe a little insane drink carefully, but drink often. Ladies and Gentlemen, let the show begin.

Dark red pour from draft at their brewpub. White head. Very dank and hoppy fruity. Not bad. Floral. Tropical

As far as imperial IPAs go this was pretty disappointing to me. The flavor was too caramelly sweet and the bitterness didn’t balance well with the caramel.

Tap at the brewery. Clear light amber color. White head. Hoppy aroma. Heavy caramel malt backbone as well. Hoppy flavor, resiny, dry bitter finish. Malt is certainly a part of this as well. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a very dark amber, more of a brown really. Aroma is malt-focused, sweet syrup and caramel. Nice hop profile, sort of a generic bitterness too. Good beer.

Draught at the brewery. Dark copper. Thin head. Malty, syrupy-minty, quite sweet overall. The hops are minty and mandarin. But this comes across as a very strong, sweet example, getting into "Triple IPA" territory here.

Jaune pale avec presque pas de mousse. L’arôme des à plein d’agrumes. En bouche c’est amer, un peu sucré, et plein d’agrumes. Bien équilibré et assez facile à boire pour le style!

Draft pour hazy light copper with moderate ecru head. Nose floral, banana, almost bubble gum. Taste big sweet up front, mango, banana, some citrus. Mid palate light bitterness through the finish. Not used to bubble gum flavors in a double.

Bottle, 650ml. Clear copper/orange with a fizzy head. Malty caramel aroma with hints of citrus and resin. Medium to robust bodied with moderate carbonation. Sweet and moderately bitter. Rich malt character with a smooth bitter alcohol and fruity finish. Very pleasant
