COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weisse Versa is unfiltered and has the refreshing characteristics you’d come to expect in a wheat beer, but the combination of the citrus peel and coriander added during the brewing process and the natural clove, nutmeg and banana aromas produced by our special, Bavarian wheat beer yeast result in a beer that’s unlike any you’ve ever had. With Weisse Versa you get the flavors you love in a German Hefe AND in a Belgian White beer. Both. At the same time.

12 oz can, purchased at the H.E.B, Austin, Tx in a mixed 12 pack. Color is darker than the start and Hefe, Amber hue to the gold. Aroma is decent yeast phenols, banana, light bubble gum and maybe a hint of diacetyl.

The flavor is just as the aroma indicates. Yeasty banana, clove, very mild touch of butter. The butter isn’t to off putting but there. Almost a hint of coriander (which I don’t really want in my Hefe) Body is medium texture with a mild fullness. Honestly it’s not bad from a can so on draft I would order it for a sample.

Tap at brewery. Pouts slightly hazy golden, average level of head. Aroma is citrus, spices, light yeast, faint fruitiness. Taste is spices, cloves, wheat, grains. Faint banana. Medium body, average carbonation level. Very solid offering. Nice mix of conventional wheat flavor and with a mix of German wit flavors. Nice.

Pour is a beautiful orangish golden color with a nice big frothy white head. Aroma is spicey wheat, slight citrus, banana, taste is more of the same, with nice yeasty qualities. Very nice stuff!

Tap at B-Dubs at Houston Hobby yesterday, 05.24.2015. With Erica. Pours fairly hazy light orange-amber, billowy head. Nose has wheat and notes of clove/spice. Nice yeast/wheat on the palate. Not bitter. Liked it.

This was just a middle of the road wheat, it had the yeast strain of a German Hefeweizen with the malts of an American wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Yard House in Houston. Fairly hazy light orange pour with a small white head. Seems more like a hefeweizen with the clove and phenols. Decent.

Hazy golden pour. Small white head. Little lacing. Malt, lemon, yeast aroma. Tart lemon, very tart. Bitter. Slight malt.

Draft. Tasted alongside a live oak here actually. This is far blunter. Heavy on fruits and tartness, a Amish mash of styles rather than the best of both worlds.

Cloudy golden color, with medium fizzy white head that quickly dissipates. Wheat aroma with citrus and spice. Flavor is similar, with a little tartness in the finish.

docsteigs (542) - Texas, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Spicy aroma of clove citrus phenols. Attractive poor, looks like half wit half hefeweizen. Taste smooth with nice spice notes, a little sweet, no hops. Finishes medium dry but a little sweet ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
