The amber you’ve always wanted. Crisp and clean, but full of flavor: milk caramel, toasted biscuit and sweet wheat. A medium-bodied brew that has character yet remains and all-game drinker that always satisfies, never disappoints, and plays well with many types of foods.

On tap at the brewery bar as a 5 oz. flight serving, showing a clear, amber color, a presentable layer of off white froth, with spots & strands of lacing. The nose was lightly toasted, subtle floral & fruit notes, with a touch of caramel sweetness. Light to medium bodied, with okay carbonation, the taste was similar, with a modest, earthy bitterness. Nicely sessionable.

Draft pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of toasted malts, earthy and caramel. Taste is caramel and dark fruit.

Really good amber. Aroma’s mild. Flavor’s so good, very close to the way I like it- a touch roasty in the finish.

Keg @ Karben4. Deep amber pour with a tiny white head. Aroma has plenty of caramel and biscuit character. Soft toasty grain. Light nuttiness. Sweet flavor. Just a hint of chocolate, more caramel. Toasted brioche bread. Smooth and creamy. Boring but well executed.

deyholla (11721) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2016
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy earthy amber with a gray head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has lots of sweet grain and cookie with a light earthy bread note underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and graham cracker with a touch if bread underlying.

Keg at the brewpub, 8/14/16. Clear copper, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts and mild earth. The taste is toasted malt, caramel, dark fruits. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

sweet, caramel, copper, thick. This is okay. For a hot evening not particularly refreshing. thats my fault though.

12 oz bottle. Clear ruby pour with an off-white head. Bready, DMS, but of caramel aroma. Undercarbonated. Flavor is malt-forward, with a slight bitter finish. It’s aight.

pkbites (950) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Alright. Did they fucking change the rating scale here? My label says 5.6% alcohol not 5.2.. My pour was VERY dark. Nutty aroma but lightly so. Some pretty good lacing on the glass. Light mouthfeel and aftertaste, but overall good. Bottle.

shrubber85 (11448) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - FEB 12, 2016
Bottle. Milk caramel malt and weedy grass aroma. Amber with small head. Sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter quinine/gentian flavor. Decent body.
