On tap in a Madison bar. Pours hazy orange with a creamy head. Smell is hops and taste is sharp bitter. Not bad. Went with another IPA for the pitcher. parkerj (53) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 28, 2014
The first thing that hit me with this beer was a great citrus aroma. The taste followed very well, with a blast of a very refreshing citrus flavor. I’m really liking this one...surprising that it’s not rated higher, but I guess they used to use different hops? duchowbob (9) - Windsor, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 21, 2014 does not count
Classic ipa with resiny citrus/ fruit piney-hop aroma --balanced with clean maltiness - excellent balance...BRILLIANT cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 16, 2014
On tap, been wanting to try this one for awhile now, glad I finally got the chance, pours a hazy orange with a thick white head with lots of lacing, the aroma is huge, tons of citrus and mango and other tropical fruits, but not wet and dank hops, really fresh and bright, the flavor is much of the same, citra overload on the front end with a crisp finish, malt is light and crisp in the finish and doesn’t get in the way, bright mouthfeel and finish, damn guys, well done. On draught at the Karben4 brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of solid three c’s hops with a touch more on the Cascade side, light caramel and a touch of grapefruit. Taste is medium bodied, flavors of citrus zest, a touch of tart apple and some caramel malt. Finish is semi-dry with a long lingering hop bitterness aftertaste. Tongue shocker scale: six to seven minutes.

On tap at Karben4 Brewery. Ruby copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma of citrus and mango with caramel and grapefruit. Taste of citrus, grapefruit juice, caramel and a mild bitter finish. Another nice seasonal IPA, wish they’d put out more… madvike (3308) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 31, 2013
On tap at The Free House - Wow, surprised at some of the meh rankings for this one. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy off white head. Nose is huge citrus and tropical fruit, with some notes of pine and dank onion mixed in (though this is real subtle). There’s a dry bread malt base, but the hops are the show here. Super juicy. Taste is a bit more subdued, with the citrus and fruit mixing with the dry bread malt to create a very drinkable IPA that still has an abundance of flavor. If this came in 6 packs I could see it being very dangerous--flavor-packed without causing burnout after a couple. Pretty full-bodied for the style, with ample carbonation that doesn’t get in the way of the flavor. I agree wtih Greg--in the WI IPA landscape, this is a standout. On tap at the brewery. Comes golden orange with a decent white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and malt. Taste is grapefruit, lemon, other tropical fruit, pine, and malt. Tasty. nuplastikk (6630) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Tap at Mickeys. Hazy orange tan body, steady creamy off-white head. Quite an excellent beer, bolder and deeper than most WI IPAs by a long shot. Big citra flavor, challenging and enjoyable. Very modern IPA, well done. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Sampled at GTMW. Kind of a cool name for a beer. Gives me kind of an 80s vibe. I like to think this brewery is like slick 80s club, perms everywhere. It pours orangish, white head. This beer has a tropical hop aroma, some citrus and caramelly/ bready malts. Flavor is balanced between citrus and tropical hops, and subtle sweet malts. Nice, well balanced, I will probably visit this place some time.
