Draft pours black with a tan head. Aroma and taste are nice chocolate and roasted coffee. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Keg @ Karben4. Deep brown pour with a dark tan head. Espresso and light smokiness on the nose. Charred grain. Nicely supple and creamy. Accents of licorice. More smoke. Cocoa and roasted coffee. Well put together, nice nuances. I dig it. Really solid porter. wlajwl (6808) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JAN 27, 2017
Aroma is smoked/dark malts and mild bacon. The flavor is smoked malts, mild BBQ, fruit/dark fruit and a very dry/acidic finish. deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2016
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice smoke note with roasted malts and dark grains supporting. Flavor does a nice job of combining dark grains, roasted malts and a nice skokiness. Drake (13737) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2016
Keg at Hopcat Madison, 8/15/16. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, ham. The taste is smoke, roasted malts, hints of chocolate. Medium bodied.

Draught pint at Freddy Valentines in Spring Creek, WI, October 14th. Inky-black, opaque, with just a bit of head appearing when swirled...typical porter nose, but with a bit of charcoal-smoke to go along with the roasty malts, and some faint dried cherry...body is very dry and bitter throughout, offering a bit of yeasty-bready (rye) character to enliven the darkness, and eventually some touches of caramel sweetness show up...body shows an average fullness, could be a bit more robust I think, and carbonation is low. Initially tough to drink because of the combined dryness, bitterness, and husked-malt feel of the thing, in the end this is pretty decent - definitely works best when warmed for a few minutes. In any case it remains one of the drier, roastier porters I’ve had. shrubber85 (11402) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 4, 2016
Draft (growler). Earthy coffee, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with small tan head. Lightly sweet dark chocolate malt and moderately bitter black coffee/hay flavor. Okay body. Nice. smroush (281) - Michigan, USA - SEP 10, 2016
Aromas of roasted coffee! Smoke is present but fairly mild (a plus in my mind). Hop aroma is resin or just a general bitterness.
Color is basically black; head is fairly small and light brown.
Taste is moderately sweet and moderate to heavy generalized bitterness.
Body is medium to full; texture is oily/creamy; finish is long with roasted coffee first and then the bitterness.
Overall A pretty good Porter. I like the fairly mild smoke flavor on top of a decent Porter - malty but balanced with a fairly strong bitterness. Itzjerm (2866) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - NOV 12, 2015
Nice smokey porter with sweetness and dark malt. Atoms is toffee. Creamy and good malty.

DRaft. Brown pour, pleasant normal-sized porter. Cocoa coffee, some toffee, easy to drink.
