COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as "Schwarzer Woipertinger".

Bottle from Bacchanalia, drunk at home. Light to mid-brown, very murky. Intense aroma of Ovaltine and banana. I expected it to be sweeter, when in pact there’s a pronounced almost fruity bitterness. Finish is rather short, with chocolate notes in the aftertaste. A decent dunkelweizen if a bit off kilter.

GBBF Day 3. Keg. Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Sweet banana esters. Bruised banana. Light and ripe citrus. Fine.

August 2016 - At GBBF 2016 as ’Karg Dunkles Hefe-Weissbier’. Hazy dark orange with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is banana, lightly musty, some clove. Body is light with tingly carbonation. Taste is banana bread, clove and apple. A pretty good wheat beer. (3.5)

Bottled 500ml. -Hazy amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, wheaty nose with whiff of banana. Sweetish malty, caramel, wheaty and mild yeasty with notes of banana and touch of spices. Slightly acidic also and pretty strong carbonation. Unfortunately just average beer.

500ml bottle. Passed its use by date. Thick Cloudy reddish amber. Lots of sediment in the bottle. Aroma is different strong, banana, alcohol, bubble gum . Taste is medium sweet, light sour, light spice, stronger than the 5.2% abv would suggest. Palate is thick a wee bit sticky.

fdomig (1028) - München, GERMANY - FEB 19, 2016
500ml bottle at Sternbräu Rankweil. Aroma is light yeast and some dark fruits. Appearance is very cloudy brown with a thick brown-ish foam. Taste is sweet and light bitter. Strong carbonation. Mild. Very nice Dunkelweizen although not so special.

Leighton (22304) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2015
Draft at GBBF 2013, day 3 - London. Pours cloudy, milky golden-brown with a tight creamy cap. The nose holds overripe banana, doughy wheat. Medium sweet flavor with more ripe, mashed banana, lightly toasted wheat, dough. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with some yeast, minerals, brown bananas, doughy wheat bread. Looks a bit ropy but the rest of it is nice.

2.9
chinchill (5313) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 19, 2015
.5L bottle served in an Ettaler weizen glass in 2012 (from notes). Cloudy brown with visible carbonation. The tan head is foamy-creamy, has very good retention, and leaves a little bit of lacing. The beer has the flavor and aroma of wheat and yeasty banana. Toasted malt is rather faint. M: decent mouthfeel, with medium carbonation and body. O: below average for a Bavarian weiss dunkel.
