Big thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that bottle. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts fine malty, fine roasty, dry background. Fine yeasty without being too dry. Fruity hints of plum. Nice! cgarvieuk (24465) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 7, 2013

500 ml bottle from Orterer in Garmisch. Pours a dark cloudy brown with a full tan thick head. A great looking beer. Aroma is rich dark overripe bananas. Taste is a crisp but not sweet version of the aroma. Palate is smooth but tart. A good solid Dunkle Wiesse. Philym (1003) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2013
Appearance: Hazy brown/ruby with a cm thick ivory head.
Aroma: Bubblegum, banana, lemon, caramel and bread.
Taste: Medium sweetness, low bitterness and medium sourness.
Palate: Smooth thick texture, medium body, prickly carbonation and astringent. The finish lingers with banana, caramel and bubblegum notes being quite strong, with a cutting citrus at the end which has the sharpness of lemon or lime. There is also a subtle note of clove.
Comments: Very tasty and refreshing. Left a glass lace. allmyvinyl (10613) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 13, 2013
500ml bottle from appellation wines, cheers Ash! Pours murky brown with a thin white head. Aromas of banana, clove, toffee, touch of honey. Taste is sweet, needs more bitterness to balance it out. Bit thin. Not bad.

On tap at GBBF 2013. Looks pretty awful to be honest, bit like some rye bread that has been put in a blender with water, or maybe a muddy canal. Fortunately tastes a lot better, classic well made dunkelweizen, good malty flavours added to some weizen clove and apple. Was there a hint of sourness or was I still on the rye bread analogy? Sometimes dunkelweizens come out disappointingly bland - this one didn’t. Scopey (14723) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2013
Tap at GBBF, thanks to Fergus. It pours milky brown with a small white head. The nose is earthy, smokiness, milky, wood and smoke. The taste is smooth, sweet, oily, smoky, ham, orange, earth and decent bitterness with a dry, earthy funsh. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. mR_fr0g (12067) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2013

The head is unrobust, the body brown. The taste is yeasty, sweet, malty, less hoppy. Overall nice dark wheatbeer, but could be a bit more intenisve. 11/12/11/12/12/11
